History
Chinese Bible Church was founded in 1979 through the leading of God and Pastors Nathan Pan and Melvin Hom. They established the church as an independent, fundamentalist, Bible based church, with the intent of serving the City of San Francisco, with an emphasis on reaching out to the Chinese community. Through various youth ministries, CBC has grown and flourished over the years to the point where now weekly attendance now tops 300. Today, CBC continues to reach out to the Chinese youth of San Francisco. With over 7,000 souls recorded as saved, Chinese Bible Church strives to spread the gospel to as many as possible.
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and base all of our beliefs, faith, and practices on its authority. The King James Version of the Bible is the only English version we accept and use.
We believe that Jesus Christ, the son of God, became man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and of virgin birth. Jesus Christ redeemed us from our sins through his substitutionary sacrifice on the cross. Jesus Christ was resurrected and now reigns in Heaven.
We believe that salvation is only achieved through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is by grace and nothing more. We are justified by faith and righteous before God only through the merit of Jesus Christ our Lord. The only way to Heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as you personal savior.
